In addition to psychotherapy, medication may also be helpful in reducing symptoms or improving concentration, sleep, or other difficulties. A number of medications and types of medications are available that may help with these difficulties, including (but not limited to) antidepressants, anti-anxiety medications, sleep aids, and antipsychotics. CEDAR's psychiatrists are available to assess and consult on medical and psychiatric issues, including whether a medication might be helpful to you. They can review the potential benefits and risks of medication with you and your family and provide medication management as appropriate.
