Latoya Thomas, LMHC is a licensed mental health counselor at the CEDAR clinic. She meets with families and individuals to provide therapeutic support. She also conducts clinical assessments, diagnostic consultations and therapy. Additionally, Latoya serves as a clinician for CLUES and NAPLS research studies.

 

Clinical Interests: Latoya has worked with families and young adults for several years to help them develop strategies that help improve functioning in all areas of their lives including relationships, school and work by utilizing cognitive behavioral and solution-focused interventions. She is interested in providing culturally competent care and in reducing the stigma of mental health treatment and barriers to care.

 

Academic: Latoya attended college at Guilford College in Greensboro, North Carolina where she majored in Psychology with concentrations in Women's Studies and African American Studies. She earned a Masters degree in Counseling Psychology at Northeastern University.
