Sydney Garner

Sydney Garner

Clinical Coordinator

Syd is a clinical coordinator at the CEDAR clinic. In this role, they support clients in registering and scheduling care at the clinic. They also provide one-on-one school and work coaching to young people experiencing symptoms consistent with clinical high-risk for psychosis.

Syd has gained clinical experience as a youth case manager for the crisis services department at Clinical and Support Options. They found supporting children and their families in accessing care within the mental health system very rewarding. At Translate Gender, Syd worked as a group facilitator for transgender and gender-expansive youth and as a training facilitator. In this role, they consulted for social services agencies aiming to be more inclusive of gender-diverse clients. While working as an intern for Equitas Health, Syd researched health disparities among Queer people, people of color, and folks of low socioeconomic status. Syd’s clinical interests include supporting young people with emerging mental health concerns navigate the mental health system.

The CEDAR Clinic is a clinical program of The Brookline Center for Community Mental Health and is affiliated with Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Harvard Medical School.

CEDAR is located at The Brookline Center for Community Mental health. Please see our directions page for more details.
